About QuiltGearHQ
QuiltGearHQ is a resource for quilters and sewists researching the machines, notions, and tools that actually make quilting easier: which sewing machine handles quilt-weight fabric and free-motion work well, which longarm or mid-arm setups make sense for a home studio, and which notions and batting are worth the money.
The site is written and maintained by Margaret Ashby, a longtime quilter who has worked through the frustration of choosing between dozens of near-identical machine listings and vague notion descriptions firsthand.
How we choose what to cover
Recommendations come from careful research: published manufacturer specifications, real owner reviews across multiple sources, and side-by-side comparison of prices and included accessories, cross-checked rather than taken from a single source.
How this site makes money
